Skarlatos & Zonarich attorney authors legal guide to help employers create employee handbooks
HARRISBURG, PA- The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is offering a book by Skarlatos & Zonarich attorney Kathy Speaker MacNett as part of its 2009 library on human resources topics.
The 388-page book, Model Policies and Forms for Pennsylvania Employers, is intended to help employers create policies for employee handbooks. The book includes chapters on job descriptions and applications, candidate screening, work hours and overtime, complaint procedures, and performance reviews, among others.
MacNett, a partner at Skarlatos & Zonarich, is experienced in management side labor law and representation of employers before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. She is a former research director for the Labor Relations Committee for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and former assistant counsel to the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board.
She is a member of the American Bar Association Committee on Federal Labor Standards Legislation and a contributing author to Bureau of National Affairs (BNA) publications on workplace issues.
