Harrisburg attorney John B. Zonarich named to Central Penn Business Journal's "Forty Under 40"

HARRISBURG, PA-John B. Zonarich, a partner in the Harrisburg law firm of Skarlatos & Zonarich LLP, has been named by the Central Penn Business Journal as one of its "Forty Under 40" award recipients for 2009.

Award recipients are selected by a panel of judges for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence, and community contributions. Zonarich will be honored at a reception and awards program the evening of Oct. 23 at the Harrisburg Hilton.

Zonarich handles personal injury litigation related to auto accidents, nursing home abuse and neglect, wrongful deaths, and other matters involving serious bodily injury. In addition, he handles civil litigation, commercial litigation, and employment law litigation in state and federal courts. He is a graduate of Widener University School of Law and Mount Saint Mary's College.

Zonarich is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a prestigious group of trial lawyers limited to those who have won million-dollar or multi-million-dollar verdicts, awards, or settlements for their clients.

He also served as a member of Trial Lawyers Care, Inc., an arm of the American Trial Lawyers Association, and worked with the U.S. Department of Justice Victim Compensation Fund to provide pro bono legal representation to the family of a victim killed at the Pentagon on 9/11.

Zonarich is chief legal counsel for the Central Pennsylvania Conservancy, an organization dedicated to preserving natural resources and open space. He is a board member and corporate secretary of United Cerebral Palsy of Central Pennsylvania and sits on its Programs and Services Committee.
