The value of an integrated team approach to serving clients
The legal issues facing elder and special needs clients are often intertwined with health care issues. Legal expertise by itself often isn’t enough. An added layer of knowledge and expertise is required.
That’s why we’ve added a certified registered nurse practitioner to our team to serve as care manager.
When the needs of clients overlap professional disciplines, it makes sense to integrate the required areas of expertise into a single, unified team.
- Our attorneys and our care manager work together for the client.
- Our lawyers handle traditional legal arrangements, such as estate planning, preparing powers of attorney, asset protection and long-term care planning, and assisting clients obtain government benefits, among other things.
- Our care manager works with our attorneys in making health care planning recommendations to clients, assisting clients in managing their care, and serving as an advocate when clients need help dealing with health care bureaucracies.
It’s a new and proactive approach, a way of integrating health care solutions with legal solutions. It’s also a way we can make a better and more beneficial difference for our clients.
